Jake Garner
PRESIDENT

Shareholder Jake Garner was promoted to the position of President of Ouzinkie Native Corporation (ONC) effective May 1, 2024. He oversees all administration and operations of the corporation, and is responsible for political outreach and advocacy for ONC and its shareholders. Jake also spearheads ONC’s relations with the City of Ouzinkie, the Native Village of Ouzinkie, Spruce Island Development Corporation, and other Alaska Native Corporations throughout the State and within the Kodiak region.


Jake grew up in the village of Ouzinkie and was elected to the ONC Board of Directors in October 2021, and resigned to accept the position of Vice President of Operations in early 2023. During his tenure as VP of Ops, he worked with the Rasmuson Foundation and successfully led the effort to restore the Nativity of our Lord Church in Ouzinkie which sits on the National Register of Historic Places as well as the Russian Orthodox Sacred Sites in Alaska (ROSSIA).
 

Jake’s background includes 20 years’ experience in construction and operations management. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Oregon State University and previously worked as the Executive Vice President for Alutiiq, LLC. He was recently appointed to the Alaska Board of Game by Governor Dunleavy.
